Type: Course Lectures

Expertise Level: Intermediate - Advanced

Available on DVD

18.75 CME credits for the 14-volume series

Breast MRI is reported as valuable in detecting cancer in women who have a personal history of breast cancer, those patients with greater than 25% lifetime risk of breast cancer, and those with dense breasts – a condition associated with breast cancer risk but which decreases the sensitivity of the gold standard screening exam, mammography. MRI helps delineate the extent of disease in patients diagnosed with breast cancer. This series reviews breast MRI theory and technique, and teaches the MRI appearances of malignant and benign lesions, common and rare.

WHO SHOULD USE THIS SERIES: Radiologists, mammographers, breast imagers, breast surgeons, MR specialists, OB-GYNs

EDUCATIONAL GOAL FOR THIS ACTIVITY
Dr. Stephen J. Pomeranz’s Breast MRI Lecture Series: This professionally produced, interactive DVD series features lectures covering the fundamental techniques of MR mammography and teaches diagnosis and interpretation.
