Type: Course Lectures
Expertise Level: Introductory - Intermediate
Available on DVD or CD-ROM as indicated by title below
9 CME credits for the full 9-Volume Fundamental MRI series
BASIC KNEE, SHOULDER and ELBOW DISK TITLES
4 CME credits for the full 4-Volume Basic Knee, Shoulder, and Elbow set Today's radiology resident is faced with the task of digesting more medical information than ever before. Magnetic resonance imaging is now a standard modality and the impetus to understand the technology and interpret studies begins in residency. The knee, shoulder, and elbow titles cover basic MR anatomy and pathology.
Introductory in subject matter, yet comprehensive in scope, these titles cover basic MR anatomy and pathology and are intended for use by residents, MRI fellows, technologists, and for physicians who are developing their MRI expertise.
WHO SHOULD USE THE FUNDAMENTAL MRI KNEE, SHOULDER, AND ELBOW SET: Residents, MRI fellows, technologists, and for physicians who are developing their MRI expertise
PHYSICS OF MRI DISK TITLES
5 CME credits for the 5-Volume Physics of MRI set
The comprehensive Physics of MRI set covers the molecular basis for magnetic resonance, imaging including the relaxation properties of protons. Viewers of lectures in this series will know the parameters needed for different pulse sequences; recognize the strengths and weaknesses of various pulse sequences, and understand their applications in a clinical setting; and recognize artifacts commonly associated with MR imaging.
WHO SHOULD USE THE PHYSICS OF MRI SET: Radiologists, technologists, primary care physicians, MR specialists, referring clinicians
OBJECTIVES: Participants who complete this activity should be able to understand the molecular basis for magnetic resonance imaging, including the relaxation properties of protons; know the parameters needed for different pulse sequences; recognize the strengths and weaknesses of various pulse sequences and understand their applications in a clinical setting; and recognize artifacts commonly associated with MR imaging.
