PROSCAN EDVANCE:

What is ProScan Edvance?

ProScan Edvance is ProScan Imaging Education Foundation’s learning management system (LMS), which provides customers with instant online access to all of their course and product purchases. Through this portal, product customers can watch lectures online via streaming videos, while course attendees can access their course syllabi, supporting documents, and all required assessments. All CME activity is also hosted through the system allowing customers to complete their assessments, pre-tests, final tests, and CME applications online with instant grading and CME certificate access for saving and printing.

ProScan Edvance provides an extremely user-friendly environment for ProScan Imaging Education Foundation customers – allowing users to access their educational activities online through any computer, tablet, or smartphone with Internet access.

How can I become a user on ProScan Edvance?

Every customer who purchases an online, CD, DVD product title or course registration from the ProScan Imaging Education Foundation will become a user in ProScan Edvance. If you make your purchases online through www.ProScanShopping.com, ProScan Edvance will automatically enroll you in the system and send you a welcome email to help you establish your account.

If you make your purchase over the phone, a ProScan Imaging Education Foundation employee will need to manually enter you into ProScan Edvance to trigger your account creation and welcome email.

What should I do if I forget my username and password to log in to ProScan Edvance?

If you remember your username but forget your password, click on the “Forgot Your Password?” link on the main login page at www.edvance360.com/proscan.com.

If you forget both your username and password, please contact us at edvance@proscan.com.

How do I access the courses I purchase?

Once you are logged in, click on the "Courses" tab in the top navigation menu. The resulting page will list all courses and product titles you are enrolled in. Click on the appropriate course title to access the lesson plan, which will include all required assessmentes, tests, and/or CME applications.

If you would like to see the complete ProScan Imaging Education Foundation product and course library, click on "All Courses" in the left navigation menu.

What is the difference between a CME test and CME application within ProScan Edvance?

If a customer participates in a course, they are required to complete a CME application to receive their CME certificate. If a customer purchased any titles from our lectures series, they are required to complete a “Final Test” after viewing the video or navigating the CD.

Why do I have to fill out so many assessments for each activity?

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) requires accredited institutions to track and gauge learning through a variety of survey and testing mechanisms. To continue to provide continuing medical education (CME) to physicians, the ProScan Imaging Education Foundation must include these elements for each educational activity completed through the organization.

What should I do if something is not working in ProScan Edvance?

Email us at edvance@proscan.com or click on the “Help Tab” and fill out a “User Help Desk” ticket to let us know if you are having any issues with the system. Please include as much information about the issue as possible to assist with troubleshooting.

CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME)

How do I receive CME credit for a product I purchased?

If you have purchased an online, CD, or DVD lecture or participated in a live or online course event that offers CME, you will need to access ProScan Edvance, the ProScan Imaging Education Foundation’s learning management system (LMS) to receive your CME certificate.

Go to www.edvance360.com/proscan to login and access your account and online access to your purchases.

If you are a new customer, you should have received a welcome email from edvance@proscan.com when you completed your purchase. This email contains a link to your user account where you can access the required assessments, pre-test, and final test for all lecture titles or the assessments and CME application for each course registration you purchased. Through your user account, you can also access and watch your purchased lectures online via a streaming video.

All assessments, tests, and CME applications within each lesson are a required component of each learning activity.

Note: There are not any online videos available for live or online course participation or the Interactive Teaching File Series (ITF). The ITF Series can only be viewed on a CD. Users will still access the required assessments and CME application online via ProScan Edvance.

How long will it take for me to receive my CME credit?

After you complete your Final Test for a product purchase or your CME application for your course participation, you will be able to access your CME certificate within approximately 15 minutes by clicking on the “Grades” tab in the top navigation menu.

Once on the “Grades” page, you will see your test or CME application results for all courses or products you have completed. For courses, you must show a 100% - 1 out of 1 score – to receive your CME certificate. For all other products, you need to receive a 60% on the “Final Test” within the “Post-Course Tasks” to receive your CME certificate. NOTE: Your grade on the product "Pre-Test" is not graded on a pass or fail scale - these results are only used internally to gauge improved  learning results.

Click on the “My Certificates” link on the left navigation menu from this screen to access all of your certificates. Your certificates will be stored indefinitely in this location for future access and printing.

How many questions must I get correct to receive CME credit on a online, CD, or DVD lecture title?

You must receive at least a 60% out of 100% on the Final Test to receive CME credit for each lecture title. You may take the test up to ten times.

NOTE: Your grade on the product "Pre-Test" is not graded on a pass or fail scale - these results are only used internally to gauge improved learning results.

Is there an expiration date for claiming CME credit?

Yes. All product titles (online, CD, or DVD lectures) are approved for three years from the original release date and often are re-approved for additional time if the material is determined by physicians to be current. The dates of expiration are listed on the main course page under the course “Description”.

How do I order additional CME tests for physicians in my group?

To order additional CME tests, contact us at education@proscan.com for an official price and online access. You will need to include the name of the original purchaser and all titles of interest. Additional CME tests are not available for course participation.

What is the cost of additional CME applications?

The cost of additional CME tests depends on which series is purchased and the quantity ordered. For additional information or to order additional CME tests, please contact us at education@proscan.com.

Can I claim CME credit for titles within a series at different times?

Yes. However, we advise everyone to view the entire series and claim the CME credit at one time for an optimal learning experience.

How do I access the CME test or CME application?

Once you are logged in, click on the “Courses” tab in the top navigation menu. Click on the course you are trying to access. Next, click on “Lessons” in the left navigation menu. For courses, the CME application is located in the “Immediate Post Course Tasks” or “CME Application” lesson. For products, the final test will be located in the “Post-Course Tasks” lesson.

My CME Certificate is not showing up in my “Grades” tab on the “My Certificates” page. What should I do?

If your CME certificate is not showing up within 15 minutes of you completing a CME application or product final test, please close out your Internet browser and log in again to check. If it still is not available, wait 24 hours and check one more time. After this time, you still do not see your CME certificate on your “My Certificates” page, contact us at education@proscan.com.

Why is my CME certificate blank when I click to view or print?

Some versions of Internet Explorer do not support the Flash Player that is required to view your CME Certificates. Please attempt to view your certificates using an alternate Internet browser, such as Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. If you are still having issues in other browsers, please contact us at education@proscan.com.

Once I've ordered a product or course registration, will I receive a confirmation?

Yes. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail.

What shipping method is used for a book/CD/DVD order?

Upon receipt of your order and verification of your payment, we ship UPS or USPS depending on what you selected during your checkout. If you need to change your shipping method, immediately contact us at edvance@proscan.com.

If your shipping method has to be altered for any reason, a member of the ProScan Imaging Education Foundation will contact you.

What is the return policy on educational products?

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return your order within 30 days of purchase. You will receive a full refund for the product that is returned, excluding shipping costs. No refunds will be made after 30 days. CME credit cannot be granted in the event an order is cancelled.

When I order an online/CD/DVD product, will it come with CME credit?

Yes. One CME test/application and the appropriate CME credit is provided with each title purchased. The CME test/application must be accessed online through ProScan Edvance. For more information on how to obtain your CME certificate, please see details above.

When I'm finished viewing a lecture online or on DVD/CD, what do I do next?

When you have completed viewing the portion for which you wish to claim CME credit, you will need to take the CME Test. To learn how to access your CME Test, please see the question above titled “How do I access the CME test or CME application?”

Once I'm registered for an education course, when will I receive a confirmation?

Upon verification of payment, you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration for the course, which includes the amount you paid. This receipt can be used for reimbursement or for tax purposes.

What if I need to cancel my education course registration?

Refund requests will be honored up to one week prior to the course date. Course registration fees will be fully refunded with an emailed notice of registration cancellation arriving to ProScan Imaging Education Foundation (PIEF) up to 7 days beforea coursebegins minus a $50 handling fee. After that date, no course registration refunds will be issued for registration cancellations. However, for up to one full year after the course date, the original course registrant may apply their course registration fee (minus the $50.00 handling fee) as a credit toward attendance at another PIEF course or to a PIEF educational product purchase. After one year from the course date, the course registration fee balance will expire if not used.

Will I receive a receipt for my education course registration?

Upon verification of payment, you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration for the course, which includes the amount you paid. This confirmation can be used as a receipt for reimbursement or for tax purposes.

I need a CME Certificate for attending an education course, how do I request a copy?

CME Certificates are stored ONLINE in your ProScan Edvance account once you complete all required assessments and your CME application. For more information on how to access your certificate online, please review details above.

VISITING FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

How do I schedule a Visiting Fellowship?

All information about scheduling a Visiting Fellowship can be found on our website at www.proscaneducation.com. After completing a Participant Profile, located on the bottom of the Visiting Fellowship Program page, along with your CV, you will be contacted by a ProScan Imaging Education Foundation representative.

How long is a Visiting Fellowship?

The length of a Visiting Fellowship is up to you! Visiting Fellowships are available by the day, week, or month(s).

What is the tuition for a visiting fellowship?

The fee for visiting fellowship is $485.00 a day.

Do I receive CME credit for attending a Visiting Fellowship?

Yes! You will receive six CME credits per day. Additional CME is available for Noon Conferences and the use of our extensive online, DVD, and CD-ROM self-study materials.

I have submitted my Participant Profile and a current CV for a Visiting Fellowship. What will happen next?

Once you have submitted your Participant Profile and current CV, a ProScan Imaging Education Foundation representative will contact you to finalize the Visiting Fellowship.
